How It Works

- Compare: Leave untreated control according to the trial design to accurately measure yield difference.
- Verify: If the treated area doesn’t show a positive ROI compared to the control, you get a refund.

Terms and Conditions
Trial Design
To qualify for the warranty, BioCoat Gold must be compared to an untreated control, using the following methodology:
• Minimum of 3 strip trial fields per county.
• Each trial field must be at least 36 acres.
• Each strip trial field must contain at least 4 replicates, where each replicate consists of one warranted strip immediately next to one unwarranted strip
• This corresponds to a minimum of 12 replicates total per crop and county.
• Growers must plant the untreated strips before the treated strips.
• Growers must execute as many execution passes around the edges of the field as are needed to provide at least 80 fet of buffer from the field edge to any part of any trial replicate.
• The warrantied and unwarrantied strips should alternate across the entire trial field inside the buffered field boundary.
• Strips must be:
• At least 1,000 feet long, excluding end rows and point rows.
• As many applicator/planter widths as are needed to be at least 4 combine passes wide, excluding end rows and point rows.
• A common strip width is 120 feet
• Trial fields must be geographically representative of enrolled acres, with unwarrantied (untreated) strips that are representative of the field’s average historical yields and soil performance..
• Each trial field must have its trial execution completed by a single calibrated machine on a single day.
• Each trial field must be harvested by a single calibrated harvester on a single day.Purchase Requirements
• New Customers: Treat a minimum of 500 acres with BioCoat Gold™
• Existing Customers: Increase prior-year BioCoat Gold™ purchase by 50% (minimum 500 acres total), or commit 90% of total farmed acres to BioCoat Gold™.
• Eligible crops: soybeans, corn, cotton, & wheat.
• Standard Application Rates: Soy 60 g/ac, Corn 35 g/ac, Cotton 40 g/ac, Wheat 90 g/ac.
• Split-row or split-planter configuration within fields to support trial and control blocks.
• Identical management across treated and control acres (same hybrid/variety, fertility, and crop protection).
• On-seed application only.
• Grower must capture video/photo evidence of the seed coating process and emergence.

Any of the following conditions will void the warranty:
• Extreme Weather: Hail, flooding, freeze, wind damage, or Green Snap affecting more than 10% of the crop.
• Drought: Validated by local rainfall data significantly below historical averages or a US Drought Monitor rating of D2 or higher.
• Crop Insurance: The filing of any crop insurance claim (federal or private) for the specific field.
• Management Variance: Any difference in seed variety/genetics, fertility, planting date, or crop protection between Treated and Control areas (other than BioCoat Gold itself).
• Flooding & Saturation: Areas subjected to standing water or complete saturation for >72 consecutive hours within 21 days of planting are excluded.
• High Phosphorus Environments: Fields with high Phosphorous (P) levels of 80 ppm or more Bray-P1, Mehlich-3 or equivalent values in other extraction methods based on standard regional conversion factors are excluded.Notification Requirements
Applications under the following conditions remain eligible for the warranty, provided the Notification Requirement below is followed:
• Low Organic Matter (<1.0%): Eligible, provided adequate carbon/nutrition is supplied alongside the seed treatment to feed the developing microbiome.
• High Organic Matter (OM >19%): Eligible, based on the assumption that direct on-seed placement provides an advantage against potential inhibition by saprophytic fungi.
• Phosphorous and Salt Compatibility: BioCoat Gold is compatible with standard in-furrow fertilizers, including P-starters and Nitrogen/Potassium sources, provided agronomic limits for salt index are observed to prevent seed burn.
• Restrictive Active Ingredients: Usage of seeds treated with high-toxicity fungicides, specifically Benomyl or Ipconazole, may significantly reduce the fungal benefit
Notification Requirement: If applying BioCoat Gold in any of the above conditions of Low OM or High OM, Phosphorous and Salt Compatibility, or in combination with any Restrictive Active Ingredient, the Grower must send a notification by e-mail prior to planting to [email protected], otherwise the warranty is void.
