How We Work
Regenerative agriculture is a whole-systems approach to farming that focuses on soil management and plant nutrition. It creates nutrient-rich, productive soils that result in disease- and insect-resistant plants.
AEA’s expert consultants can guide your farm to require fewer inputs, increase yields and boost profits. With our decades of experience building regenerative systems, we understand the soil-plant system and have the tools to improve and monitor the system’s performance.
We help growers successfully implement regenerative systems, and can help solve intractable problems on farms that are already regenerative. We are obsessive about creating systems that actually work in practice, not just that sound nice in principle. We follow up with measurements and data, to make sure our advice provides returns. Our guidance is always tailored to your farm’s unique needs.

A systems approach
Regenerative systems require a holistic approach. We recognize that farms are a complex blend of factors: from soil type, climate, and crop needs, to macro-economic trends to a farmer’s beliefs, budget, and proclivities. We work hand-in-glove with each farmer to provide specific solutions that account for the unique situation of each farm.
By starting with a first principles approach, and breaking down complex problems into their component parts, we’re able to get to the root of problems, and address the problem itself, not its symptom.

Our powerful team
Part of the secret to our success is our robust organization. We have an experienced team of expert agronomists, each with distinct field knowledge. We’ve developed powerful internal tools so that each agronomist has the wealth of our organization’s knowledge at their fingertips. Whichever agronomist you work with will have the full power of AEA behind them.

The making of an agronomic expert
We strive to have the most knowledgeable, best trained, and most informed agronomy team in the world. Our regional teams are diverse, impassioned, knowledgeable individuals with experience in many crop types. Our rigorous, 2-year training process prepares each AEA agronomist for the task of working directly with growers to identify limiting factors and create unique crop protocols that are customized for their land and operations.
